This isn't the first time Honda received the award, in fact this is the 5th straight year Honda has become Greenest Automaker. The 2011 Honda Civic GX, fueled by compressed natural gas, was also named Greenest Vehicles of 2011 by the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy.¹

After the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan on March 11, Honda established a special online site dedicated to channeling donations from Honda and Acura dealers, and Honda motorcycle and power equipment dealers to the American Red Cross. Honda has since opened the site to the public. So now, customers, suppliers and others may also participate in the Japan disaster recovery efforts as well.
