Honda Supports Young Athletes

Let's face it, even today, Baseball is considered one of America's greatest past times. As such, its hard to believe that some children today do not have access to the sport, either to watch or play. It may or may not have been a part of your childhood to play on that little league or softball team, but hopefully you at least had the chance. Honda has discovered today that many children are not afforded this opportunity, and they have decided to do something about it.
In fact, they started doing something about it 15 years ago, and they have not looked back. By sponsoring Softball and little league teams, they have helped make these sports available to more children.
It actually doesn't just stop with this great American sport, as this effort is a part of the larger task known as Urban Initiative. It is reported that Honda has contributed $800,000 to the cause, which in more tangible terms has assisted almost 43,000 American kids.
Hopefully you see the great benefit in this, but if you're under the impression it just gives kids a game to play, it actually does much more. It has been proven that skills acquired in team sports such skills discipline, practice, ability to work with a team, learning how to be a good sport, and healthy habits are just a few. And above it all, it allows some less fortunate kids to have some fun, and every childhood should be filled with fun.
